Daniel F. Mitten

Dan Mitten is the Executive Director/CEO of the Maricopa County Medical Society (MCMS) and its business services, which include the Bureau of Medical Economics (BME), Greater Arizona Central Credentialing Program (GACCP), MedaBytes and Round-up Magazine.

Dan began his career with MCMS over 20 years ago working his way up through the ranks by holding such diverse positions as; mail room clerk, assistant director of information services for GACCP; and computer programmer for Arizona Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) - MCMS’ sister organization. Over time he rose to the rank of Senior Director of Operations for AFMC in conjunction with his previous role as associate executive director of MCMS.

Dan directs the activities and operations of the Medical Society and its businesses, as well as serves as the managing editor of Roundup magazine, the Society’s official publication. Holding various roles within the organization has given Dan a unique perspective and better understanding of what it takes to run a successful, not‐for‐profit organization such as the Society in today’s business environment and in organized medicine.

Dan, an Arizona native, is a proud alumni of Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.
