Michael R. Mills, MD, MPH

Michael Mills, MD, MPH is Maricopa County Medical Society's 2012 Board President.

An Arizona native, Dr. Mills is a graduate of Brophy High School and the University of Arizona. He went to Medical School at Tulane University where he earned his Doctor of Medicine as well as Masters in Public Health. He trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences, followed by Gastroenterology fellowship at the combined Phoenix VA-University of Arizona program.

Upon completion of his two year GI fellowship, Dr. Mills moved back to Colorado to take a faculty position at the University of Colorado. After three years in Colorado, where he was on faculty at the University of Colorado as well as in private practice, Dr. Mills moved his family back to Phoenix to practice medicine.

Dr. Mills actively participates in local as well as national professional societies and is highly respected by his peers. He is recognized as a "thought leader" in the medical community and successfully juggles a thriving private practice with teaching, clinical research and Medical Directorship of Phoenix Endoscopy. He has been listed in Phoenix Magazine's "Top Doctor" issue several times.

Dr. Mill's primary specialty is Gastroenterology, with secondary specialties in Internal Medicine and Hepatology. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.
