Michael Bugola, MD
Dr. Bugola received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Arizona in 1985. He obtained his MD from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 1989 and completed a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency at Stanford Hospital and Medical Center in 1993.
While at Stanford, Dr. Bugola has engaged research in the treatment of spasticity, has published research in electrodiagnostics in Muscle & Nerve, and has given multiple presentations on the neuromusculoskeletal system.
Dr. Bugola is a Diplomate of the American Boards of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Independent Medical Examiners, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and has served as a Qualified Medical Examiner.
Following his recent relocation back to Arizona, Dr. Bugola has taught Workers Compensation at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix, and currently performs medical consultative examinations for the Arizona Department of Economic Security.
Dr. Bugola joined Maricopa County Medical Society in 2016 and served on the editorial board in 2017. He became part of the Board of Directors in 2018, and serves on the Membership Committee.
