Emily Mallin, MD, FACP, FHM
Emily Mallin is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix (UACOMP) and director of the academic hospitalist service at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix (BUMCP). She is an Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine residency program focused on faculty development and faculty integration in clinical care delivery leadership. She attended Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, followed by residency and chief residency at BUMCP.
Dr. Mallin serves as Chair of the GME Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Committee and as co-chair of the award-winning BUMCP Annual Housestaff High Value Idea Competition. She is on faculty for the UACOMP Residency Leadership Development program. Her clinical time is spent with medical students and residents as part of the inpatient teaching service. She serves on local and national committees focusing on academic hospital medicine, medical education, and patient safety. She was just awarded Hospitalist of the Year 2016 by the Arizona chapter of the American College of Physicians.
