May Mohty, MD, FAAP
Dr. May Mohty is board certified in Pediatrics and Urgent Care medicine. After finishing undergraduate studies in Biology, graduating summa cum laude, she attended medical school at the American University of Beirut and graduated top of her class, receiving the Academic Excellence award and became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland Medical System and then completed a fellowship in neonatology at Duke University. Dr. Mohty is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
In addition to her clinical work in urgent care and as a hospitalist, she is a Doctoring Faculty at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, teaching medical students pre-clinical skills as well as a preceptor for residents from Banner University medical center.
Dr. Mohty has received multiple teaching awards as well as community health initiative/volunteer awards. She joined the Maricopa County Medical Society in 2001 and became part of the Board of Directors in 2014, serving on the Education and Quality Committee. She was elected Treasurer in 2015 and chaired the Society's Finance Committee. Currently, Dr. Mohty serves as President of the Society.
