About the event

MCMS members please join us on Saturday, July 13, from 9:30AM to 12PM at Maricopa County Medical Society (MCMS) for a Nexplanon training.

We are honored to have the renowned professor from Creighton Univeristy and the University of Arizona, Amy J. Williamson, MD,  who is also the Chief of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at The Phoenix Children's Hospital, to teach the seminar.

NEXPLANON (etonogestrel), is a birth control implant that prevents pregnancy for up to five years. It's a small, flexible rod that's inserted under the skin of the upper arm by a trained healthcare professional. The implant slowly releases a hormone called etonogestrel, which prevents pregnancy by thickening cervical mucus and stopping ovulation.

MCMS will be providing breakfast and beverages.

This event is only for MDs and DOs.

Agenda:

9:30 AM - 10:00 AM: Networking & Breakfast

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Training

Seats are limited, please RSVP today!
