Upcoming CME Opportunity with MCMS: Opioids and Chronic Pain Management


Maricopa County Medical Society is proud to present an important and timely 3-hour Continuing Medical Education (CME) event focused on Opioids and Chronic Pain Management, with a special emphasis on nociplastic pain. A complex type of pain that originates from altered nociception, rather than tissue damage or inflammation.


This session will be led by Dr. Shana Johnson, a respected physician and educator known for her expertise in chronic pain, neuromuscular disorders, and physician education. Dr. Johnson will guide attendees through the latest clinical practices, regulatory guidelines, and treatment approaches that support responsible opioid prescribing while effectively addressing chronic pain in patients.
